Description
Game Concept.
Pirate Commander is a survival sandbox game where players take full control of managing a pirate ship. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the crew, ensuring their physical and mental well-being, and managing essential resources such as food, drinking water, medicine, weapons, and ammunition.
My Contribution.
I was responsible for programming the core gameplay mechanics and producing a trailer to showcase them. At this stage of the project, my focus was on creating an early prototype that demonstrated the intended functionality of these mechanics.
Outcome.
The core mechanics I designed include:
- Ship Management: Developed systems for managing the ship’s operations, including resource allocation, maintenance, and crew assignments.
- Map: Designed an interactive map for navigation, exploration, and planning strategic routes.
- Character Development: Implemented mechanics for crew progression, allowing players to enhance their skills, morale, and abilities to face the challenges of life at sea.
