Description
Game Concept.
Incoming War is a vehicle simulator that combines elements of building and real-time strategy. Players take on the role of a commander leading one of two warring robotic factions. As the overseer of “Nexus 44,” the central base of operations, you will engage in battles, gather resources, explore the post-apocalyptic world, and pilot vehicles crafted in your own custom-built facilities.
My Contribution.
My primary objective was to develop prototype gameplay mechanics during the early stages of development. Once the prototypes were functional, I created a game trailer showcasing the mechanics to promote the project.
Outcome.
The mechanics I developed for the trailer include:
- Base Management – Implemented systems for managing resources, structures, and operational efficiency within the base.
- 3D Map Integration – Designed a responsive 3D map that dynamically adapts to the city plan, allowing for better navigation and planning.
- Vehicle Operations and Respawnable Machines – Developed the foundational mechanics for vehicle control and implemented systems for machines that can respawn and be utilized in gameplay.
